How soon can I start therapy?

I usually have spots available within 1–2 weeks. When we connect I can give you an exact timeline.

What services does Alicia Hess Counseling offer?

I offer client centered, strength based therapy and utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques (CBT), and other evidenced based treatment techniques that are fit to your needs.

Will this be like past therapy that didn’t help?

Many clients have told me it feels different with me and my approach is helpful — no generic worksheets or clinical detachment. Just real conversations, steady support, and tools that actually fit your life.

Do you accept insurance?

I’m an out-of-network provider, but I can give you a superbill to submit to your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits.

Do you meet in person or online for sessions?

I offer both in-person sessions in San Jose and virtual sessions across California. Many of my clients appreciate the flexibility of online therapy, especially when managing a busy work schedule or overwhelm.
